Important Announcement about the Internship Courses that will be opened at IKU Faculty of Architecture, Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design in 2019/2020 Summer Term:

In line with the decision of Council of Higher Education (YÖK), because of the Covid-19 infection possibilities and to protect our students’ health, our University made a decision about not to do internships in any other organsiation. For this reason, internships cannot be held in any other organsiations. Mid-term students can do their internships during the 2020-2021 academic year midterm break or summer break.

Aid to Students with Disabilities from the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design

Özgenur Bingöl, Sergen Ortakaya, Erva Arslantürk, Aleyna Sena Övündür and Ayça Terazi, one of the students of the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, contacted the Municipalities and Mukhtars to help our disabled citizens in the pandemic process that affected the world within the scope of the "Design for Disabled" course.

In parallel with the development of digital technologies in the world, traditional education models based on space have evolved into an integrated structure through virtual environments. Digital possibilities, which are the main determinant of the integrated structure with the effect of a global pandemic, eliminate the access barrier created by time and space, and create new areas of cooperation and freedom. A seminar will be held on 17th April 2020, Friday at 01:00pm, within the scope of the IAD4033 Interior & Furniture course conducted by Instructor Merve Aşçıoğlu, to provide network between students, professionals and industry. CKMY Architects co-founders Mert Yılmaz and Can Kendir, who had completed many projects in Turkey and abroad and Mobal's General Manager Yiğit Toksoy will gave an E-seminar titled with "Furniture in Detail".

The distance-learning will begin on March 23, 2020, Monday

Due to the Corona Virus Covid-19 defined as a pandemic by the World Health Organization and considering the precautions taken in our country, the distance-learning will begin on March 23, 2020, Monday. All theoretical and elective courses of Turkish and English Programs of the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design in the Spring term will be held synchronously and asynchronously via the CATS system. In this regard, we ask our students to follow their courses from the CATS system. We expect you to keep up with the lessons without breaking your motivation.
