Message from the Department Head

The Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design is a big family with hundreds of students and graduates that it has trained since 2002 and its strong academic staff who are always beside them and support them wholeheartedly.

Our department acts with the principle of educating conscious people of profession who can compete with their contemporaries nationally and internationally, who respect the environment and ethical values in which they live, in coordination with the mission and vision of our institution. In this sense, our primary goals are to raise people of profession who have critical thinking in the light of art and science, who emphasize entrepreneurship and interdisciplinary studies, who can look at issues from a broad perspective, and who turn their faces to the future. For this purpose, we shape our dynamic education plans and formal and informal education processes in order to provide our students with a lifestyle and a vocational school.

Our department has been giving graduates since 2006. Today, our graduates include academics, non-governmental organizations, professionals working in local and central public institutions, and entrepreneurs who have accomplished important works on a national and international scale in the private sector. Our graduates are among our most important supporters in transferring and sharing their knowledge and experience to our young vocational candidates with the sense of belonging they have towards their institutions. In addition, we carry out studies to ensure that our students get acquainted with the sector before they graduate, in one-to-one relations with the leading representatives of the sector and with the cooperation protocols we have implemented, and to manage their gains in business life.

Dear Young People!

We hope to see you as a part of our family on this road where we will achieve many successes together.

Best regards,

Prof. Dr. Rana KUTLU
Head of Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design
