Interior Architecture and Environmental Design

Designer Ece Yalım was the first guest of the seminar series organized annually by the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design. Students showed great interest to the seminar, which was held on Tuesday, March 23 with the theme of "Human-Space-Object" via Adobe Connect Virtual Classroom Application. In the seminar, the relationship between human, space and object was explained through design.

The photography exhibition named "In Quarantine", which also includes the works of Asst. Prof. Aliye Rahşan Karabetça, one of our academicians in the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, was opened to visitors online. In the exhibition, it is aimed to convey to the audience the mood of photographers and the quarantine process they have experienced in the home environment during the pandemic period we have been in since March 2020.

The team whose members are Merve Boğatekin, Merve Tonyalı, and Melisa Aytek, students of the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design at Istanbul Kültür University, won the first prize in the 12th National Furniture Competition Kitchen-Bathroom category. We congratulate our students and wish them continued success.

Within the scope of the "Corporate Identity and Branding in Interior Design" course conducted by Asst. Prof. Handan Güzelci in IKU Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, the seminar was hosted by Erdem Kiracı who is Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Corporate Communications Unit Manager, was held on Friday, March 12 at 13:00 on CATS Meetings.

Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design organized an event titled "Undergraduate Students Speeches" on Friday, January 22, 2021. In the activity given in the Fall Term of 2020-2021 and carried out within the scope of the ‘’ 20th Century Architecture’’course led by Lecturer Elif Gelmez Demir, The end-of-course studies of the students were discussed with the contributions of Asst. Prof. Armağan Seçil Melikoğlu Eke, Lecturer Meltem Çetinel and Res. Asst. Merve Aksoy Oral.

Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design organized an event titled "The Most Successful Project Selection and Award Ceremony" for the Spring Semester of the 2019-2020 Academic Year. The projects of the students in the selection were exhibited at the event held on Tuesday, December 29 through Microsoft Teams with intensive participation, and the most successful project owners selected were awarded their certificates.

Photograph Artist F. Dilek Uyar who attended the event as a speaker, shared her views on her photography adventure by explaining the connection between photography art and architecture.

"Future in Furniture Design" with Corian Seminar within the scope of  Furniture Design course in Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department will be held on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 14:00 in Furniture Design CATS Virtual Class and will be moderated by Merve Aşçıoğlu.
