Interior Architecture and Environmental Design

Assist. Prof. Bilge ŞAN ÖZBİLEN from the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, Faculty of Architecture, participated in the "15th NATIONAL ACOUSTICS CONGRESS AND EXHIBITION" held at TRAKYA UNIVERSITY on 2-3 November 2023, under the leadership of the Turkish Acoustics Association (TAKDER), with her oral presentation titled "AN APPROACH TO DETERMINE OPTIMUM EXTERIOR WALL TYPE AT THE DESIGN STAGE"

Within the scope of "İÇM0711-İç Mimarlık Proje VII"  and "IAD0711 Interior Design Studio VII" courses of the Faculty of Architecture, Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, on October 6, 2023 A technical tour was organized to the Historical Kibrithane Building with the lecturers Assist. Prof. Arzu Erçetin, Assist. Prof. Bilge Özbilen, Lecturer Aysun Karabay, Lecturer M. Hakan Yılmazer and Lecturer  Selma Çiğdem.

In collaboration with Istanbul Kültür University Faculty of Architecture and Erasmus+ Internship Consortium, a summer school consisting of 10 workshops titled "Architectural detail and the search for Genius Loci in a contemporary sketch by young architects" will be organized between 06-16 September. One of the courses planned before the summer school will be held online and the other 3 courses will be held at our Ataköy campus. Within the scope of the event; 7 excursions including the Historical Peninsula and its surroundings and sketching studies will be carried out in the field.

Istanbul Kültür University Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design announced the courses to be opened in 2022-2023 Summer Education. 

A workshop on "Architectural Photography and Perspective", which is a part of the doctoral thesis of Res. Assist. Feyza Nur Dişkaya, a Ph.D. student at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, the Department of Interior Architecture, co-advised by Assist. Prof. Aliye Rahşan Karabetça, a faculty member of the Faculty of Architecture, the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, was held on May 31, 2023, with the participation of students from Istanbul Kültür University and Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University.

The Faculty of Architecture organized a trip titled "ArchiphotoTRIP" on Wednesday, May 24, with the participation of students from the Department of Architecture and the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design. The trip, which took place on the route of Galata, Istiklal Street and Karaköy, was organized by Assist. Prof. Aliye Rahşan Karabetça from the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, and Res. Assist. Elif Çileli Umuç from the Department of Architecture.

İstanbul Kültür University-Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design 2022-2023 Academic Year Spring Term Final Exam Schedule has been announced.

The training event titled “Shelter After the Earthquake”, led by Assoc. Prof. Derya Adıgüzel Özbek, one of our instructors in the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, was deemed worthy of support within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 2237-A Scientific Education Activities Support Program “Earthquake Special Call”. The second of the meeting series titled "Academic Portraits from the Architecture of the Republic Period" organized by the Architecture Department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University as part of the "100th Anniversary of Our Republic Celebration Events" was reserved for Arif Hikmet Holtay. Elif Gelmez Demir and Furkan Evliyaoğlu, from the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, will attend the meeting as guest speakers with their presentation titled “İş Bank Branches of Arif Hikmet Holtay, Building Science Instructor of the Academy”.
