Important Announcement about the Internship Courses that will be opened at IKU Faculty of Architecture, Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design in 2019/2020 Summer Term:

In line with the decision of Council of Higher Education (YÖK), because of the Covid-19 infection possibilities and to protect our students’ health, our University made a decision about not to do internships in any other organsiation. For this reason, internships cannot be held in any other organsiations. Mid-term students can do their internships during the 2020-2021 academic year midterm break or summer break.

1. The students who completed their internships during the last one year but could not submit their reports:
Students who completed their internships in the summer of 2019 and/or in the 2019/2020 academic year and could not submit their internship reports due to the missing documents, etc., should select the following internship courses while registering:

IAD 4000 INTERNSHIP I - Section I 
IAD 6000 INTERNSHIP II - Section I 

2. The students who are in graduation status in 2019-2020 Spring ans Summer Semesters:

The students who are in graduation status in 2019-2020 Spring and Summer Semesters can fulfill their internship obligations by completing the research, assignment and/or projects determined by the internship commission, in the scope of the internship courses (Section II) that will be opened in 2019-2020 Summer Term. These students should select the following internship courses:

IAD 4000 INTERNSHIP I - Section II (Graduation Status)
IAD 6000 INTERNSHIP II - Section II (Graduation Status)

*Academic advisors of the students who will be graduated should send an e-mail to the internship commission that confirms student’s graduation status. The student should follow this situation and inform the internship commission.

*These summer training  courses that are going to be online during this summer period are free of charge. 

About the Internship Courses Offered for Graduated Students:

Compulsory Internship period in the Faculty of Architecture is 40 working days. This internship study consist of 20 days of office work and 20 days of construction site work. In this context, distance education based internship courses prepared for the 2019/2020 Summer Semester were programmed to correspond to 20 days of study for each internship course chosen by the students.
In each internship course, 2 synchronous lectures were programmed. These lectures provide  that the assignment prepared by the student, is developed in line with the critics. The assignments that will be submitted should be a comprehensive report or project.
Report should be submitted in A4 word format and as a single file. Projects should be submitted in required content and as a single pdf file in accordance with the layout sizes to be specified. The schedule of the course is given below:

Internship Synchronous Courses Calendar for Graduates in the 2019/2020 Summer Semester:
1. Introduction of Homework and Question-Answer - 3 July 2020 Friday (Synchronous Lecture)
2. Presentation and Midterm Submission - Friday, July 24, 2020 Synchronous Presentation (Student Midterm Submissions  - files will be uploaded to CATS)
3. Final Submission - (15-20 August 2020 Final Week - Submissions will be uploaded to CATS)
