Art, architecture and design are considered and interpreted as a whole as a result of the developments in the last 50 years. Artworks and architectural spaces gain new design values together. Art is an inseparable part of the architecture. Hence, architecture has turned into an integrated form as a “visual art” along with structural, historical and social priorities.

As a result of these developments, Interior Architecture education is considered as a common discipline enhanced by Architecture, Art and Design. The İstanbul Kültür University Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Education programs are carried out with a contemporary approach that integrates the application and theory of both fields. Our Programs are also offered on a master's degree level including Interior Architecture and Environmental Design in line with the Architecture discipline and integrated with the branches of art.

The main aim of the Department is to equip its graduates with the vision and creativity potential so that they can compete in the professional field. The education profile in this framework is “learning to learn” as opposed to “learning the information”.
